Joseph D. Popplewell, J.D., LL.M.

Joseph D. Popplewell, J.D., LL.M. is from a southern Idaho family with extensive roots. The Popplewell family moved to Buhl, Idaho in 1919. The Ramseyer family moved to Filer, Idaho in 1915. Joe grew-up in the rural farming community of Buhl. While growing-up, Joe and his family lived on a small acreage a few miles north of Buhl. They primarily raised alfalfa on their small acreage. Helping on the acreage taught Joe hard work and commitment. When not helping on the acreage, Joe shared his family's passions for golfing, skiing and exploring scenic Idaho. Joe attended the University of Idaho after graduating from Buhl High School. He graduated from the University of Idaho with three degrees – a Juris Doctor, a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Joe relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico after graduating from law school. There he was employed by New Mexico's premier estate planning law firm – Hurley Toevs Styles Hamblin & Panter, P.A. Joe simultaneously obtained his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. Joe and his family enjoyed New Mexico; however, they moved back to southern Idaho to be closer to their family and to relish Idaho’s many awesome attributes daily.
